Change of School Start Date-September 8th

Our faculty and staff have been working so hard to prepare to start school during this unprecedented time. However, in the face of a distinct rise in cases locally, beginning school on August 10th is not in the best interest of our students, teachers or staff, so we have made the difficult decision to move our start date for both the face-to-face traditional learners and the virtual online learners to Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause our parents and community, but we truly believe that this is best decision based on the most current and updated information we have. Please continue make sure that your child's school has your correct contact information and be sure to follow our school/district websites and our social media pages to ensure that you receive the most up-to-date school information, as well as any changes to our safety procedures.

It is my prayer that we remember that our common enemy is this terrible virus, and I know we all want work together to eliminate it. Please stay safe and stay #warriorstrong.

Message from STMS

Hello and welcome to South Tattnall Middle School! On behalf of the faculty and staff I would like to thank you for entrusting your child to our care. Our goal is to make sure your child receives the best middle school experience possible. There are a few things you can do to help us meet our goal. First, make sure your child attends school every day, for the entire school day. Second, emphasize the importance of being responsible for his/her learning. Third, encourage your child to pay attention during class and seek help as needed. Fourth, help your child develop and utilize effective study skills. Finally, encourage your child to participate in extra-curricular activities such as sports or clubs. STMS is dedicated to doing “Whatever It Takes” to make sure we have a great year!
