STMS Picture Day, Friday, Sept. 25th


Picture Day will be Friday, September 25th (be on the lookout for picture package flyers). Makeups will be Friday, November 6th. Mark your calendars.
VIRTUAL LEARNERS will have an opportunity to schedule a time slot for November 6th after 3pm to come take their pictures (info will be forthcoming).

STMS School Council Parents Needed


South Tattnall Middle School is seeking STMS parents to serve on the School Council. Parents wishing to be nominated for elections may email Mr. David Tucker at or call STMS at 912-654-1467 during school hours to request to be put on the ballot. We will have one parent seat for a one-year term and another parent seat for a two-year term. A parent may be nominated for only one or the other seat.

The deadline for nomination is September 30th. Nominees must send their telephone number and email address to Mr. Tucker as listed above.

At this time, school council meetings will be held in the STMS Media Center at Noon on the following dates:

October 13, 2020

December 8, 2020

February 23, 2021

May 11, 2021

School Council elections will be held October 7, 2020. Ballots must be cast in the STMS Media Center 8am-4pm on that day. Parent representatives and candidates will be notified that day. Contact Mr. Tucker if you have further questions.

Message from STMS

    Hello and welcome to South Tattnall Middle School! On behalf of the faculty and staff I would like to thank you for entrusting your child to our care. Our goal is to make sure your child receives the best middle school experience possible. There are a few things you can do to help us meet our goal. First, make sure your child attends school every day, for the entire school day. Second, emphasize the importance of being responsible for his/her learning. Third, encourage your child to pay attention during class and seek help as needed. Fourth, help your child develop and utilize effective study skills. Finally, encourage your child to participate in extra-curricular activities such as sports or clubs. STMS is dedicated to doing “Whatever It Takes” to make sure we have a great year!
